DOES THIS TREATMENT REMOVE STRETCH MARKS?
Other than the surgical removal of skin, such as with a tummy tuck, there is no way to completely remove stretch marks. Stretch Mark Camouflage will help to conceal and diminish the appearance of stretch marks, making them less perceptible to the naked eye, by reducing the color contrast with the surrounding skin.

CAN I GET THE TREATMENT WHILE PREGNANT OR BREAST-FEEDING?
Congratulations! Unfortunately, we are unable to treat you while pregnant or breastfeeding. We look forward to treating you once your little one is weaned and your scars have been fully healed (usually within two years).

CAN ALL SKIN TYPES RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT?
In general, yes. However, there are a small number of people for whom the treatment would not be well-suited. Surgical scars must be a minimum of six months old to book a consultation for inkless camouflage and a minimum of a year old to book a consultation for tattooing. Other types of scars treatment times will vary case-by-case. Stretch Marks must be at least a year old for rejuvenation and up to two years old for camouflage tattooing. A consultation will help determine if you’re a candidate for this procedure and is required for all clients.

WILL IT HURT? DO YOU NUMB THE SKIN?
The Stretch Mark Camouflage Tattoo is a penetrative skin procedure so a small amount of discomfort will be experienced. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most uncomfortable), the average consensus is a 5 or 6. We do not numb the skin to avoid any interference with the purity and insertion of pigment into the scar or stretch marks. It’s important to mention that your pain receptors will be heightened if you’re on your monthly cycle, so we recommend that you schedule your treatment/touch-up accordingly.

CAN I GET TATTOOED IF MY SKIN IS ALREADY TANNED?
We want to match only your natural skin tone. If your scar or stretch marks are on an area of your body where you are tanned, you’ll want to wait until your tan has faded before getting treatment. This ensures we’re able to custom blend pigment colors that will look the most natural, whether you’re tanned or not.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TAN?
While your camouflaged stretch marks and scars will not change color when you tan, your skin color will. While tanned, your stretch marks will still be significantly camouflaged because the lighter or white color is no longer there. In short, there’s less of an obvious contrast.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATEMENT?
There’s little to no downtime and most clients can resume work the same day. It’s normal to experience redness and swelling immediately after the procedure for 1-3 days. You’ll be given strict instructions on how to minimize inflammation, speed up the wound-healing phase, and how to keep the treated area clean. Over the next few weeks, the redness will dissipate and go through a variety of shade changes (from dark to light) until your skin heals. We’ll be in contact with you every step of the way.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Everyone’s skin heals differently. Variables include age, general health, diet, hormones, sun exposure, etc., so it’s impossible to state the exact number of days it will take you to heal. On average it takes 45-60 days, but if you’re prone to dark scarring (hyper-pigmentation), it will likely take longer to heal. During your consultation, we can discuss and assess your skin’s estimated timeline and variables.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS OF THE TREATMENT LAST?
With each person’s skin and lifestyle differences come variables as to how camouflage tattoos may heal or change over time. Additionally, as we age, all tattoos transition and change in appearance because there’s less elasticity and melanin production in the skin. Scar and stretch mark tattoos can last for many years – most will last 5+ years without requiring any touch-ups while others may require a touch-up within 2 to 3 years.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE PROCEDURE?
A customized price will be provided to you at your consultation. Our minimum price for Scar Camouflage is $300. Stretch Mark Camouflage ranges from $400 to $2,000 per area.

Yes, consultations are free! A $50 deposit is required to book a consultation which will either be refunded or applied to the cost of the procedure should you choose to move forward with us.
